Notes on the table
- Tearaway is faster but removes most of its support when torn out — only use on stable wovens with low stitch counts.
- Cutaway stays with the garment and supports the stitches through wash cycles. It's the right choice for anything that will be worn regularly.
- Water-soluble topper sits on top of napped fabrics (fleece, towel) so the stitches don't sink into the nap. Wash out after stitching.
- Above 60k stitches on any fabric, a test stitch is worth the time regardless of stabilizer choice.
