Defaults set at the workspace level apply to every new project. Set them once when you set up the workspace and every operator on the team starts each project from the same baseline.
Thread chart
The default thread chart determines how numeric color indices in DST and EXP files get mapped to named threads on the setup sheet. Pick the brand your shop actually carries (Madeira, Isacord, Robison-Anton, Sulky). Per-project override is available when a customer asks for a different brand.
Default machine profile
A shop running a single Tajima TFMX-4 head should set that as the default machine. New projects inherit it, the hoop dropdown narrows to ones the TFMX supports, and the setup sheet generates in the right format. Multi-machine shops can leave it unset and pick per project.
Default fabric library
The fabric library is the dropdown of substrates available on the project page. A contract shop that only runs polos can prune the dropdown to performance polo, performance knit, and cotton-blend polo — fewer choices, less operator error.
