Owner, admin, editor, viewer — what each ValidStitch role can do

ValidStitch workspaces have four roles. Owner controls billing and ownership; admins manage members; editors upload and validate; viewers read reports. Here's the full permissions table.

Every member of a ValidStitch workspace has one role. Roles are per-workspace — the same person can be an editor in one workspace and a viewer in another. There's exactly one owner per workspace.

Picking a role for a new teammate

  • Customer service rep who needs to download a setup sheet to send to a buyer → viewer.
  • Production operator who uploads files but doesn't manage members → editor.
  • Shop manager who handles billing and adds new operators → admin.
  • You, the shop owner → owner. There's only ever one.
