What it means

A satin column is too narrow to read or sew reliably as satin.

Why it matters

At very small widths satin loses its intended visual effect and often becomes unstable.

Common triggers

  • tiny monograms
  • scaled-down satin accents
  • fine decorative outlines

Typical fixes

  • switch to running stitch
  • widen the column
  • scale up the design

Notes

  • Good candidate for preview-and-accept remediation.
