What it means

The design approaches the hoop edge too closely for reliable sewing.

Why it matters

Even when the design fits technically, sewing near the edge reduces reliability and can distort the result.

Common triggers

  • oversized placements
  • last-minute scaling to fill hoop space
  • tight cap or small-hoop layouts

Typical fixes

  • scale to fit safe area
  • reposition within hoop
  • choose a larger hoop

Notes

  • Distinct from OUTSIDE_HOOP and from SAFE_SEW_FIELD_EXCEEDED.
